Run a 5k, soon after followed by a 10k. (Erika, I’m coming to you to register for that Malibu race. Get set.)
Read 104 books. (This year I read 64, including books I had to read for work, but not including manuscripts or galleys or anything not yet listed on Goodreads. 2 books a week? I got this.)

NYE 2011
Let’s just say this: I’m unexpectedly back early from our family vacation (but not for some traumatic reason). Currently drinking sparkling white wine and watching Bravo with my mother in our living room. Earlier we ate CRAB LEGS and they were uh-maz-ing. I’m flying back tomorrow and had no energy to scramble for plans tonight.

I bought a shirt at American Eagle tonight.
I’m kind of obsessed with it, but I can’t decide whether I actually like the shirt, or whether I’m in love with the nostalgia.
I feel 16 again!
(And this shirt is gonna look mega cute underneath a Northwestern t-shirt when I fly back to LA on Saturday. Gotta rep the alma mater as they play in the oh-so-distinguished TicketCity...

You know what's awesome?
When your nighttime cold meds decide to rebel against you and you’re still up 4 hours after taking them. And you have shit to do tomorrow because it’s the last day in your hometown before being shipped off to Deliverance-land for 3 days of family togetherness.

Worst Aunt Ever
Seriously: If you ever want a reason to feel terrible, allow a baby to crack his head open under your watch. I’m still waiting to hear if he had to get stitches.
But on the upside for Quinn, I’m totally going to make it up to him with Christmas presents. And he might get to live with a cool scar for the rest of his life. So he’s got that going for him, which is nice.
